That’s right, this cute little green “critter” is actually part of a new sleep tracking device called the Mimo. This “smart” baby monitor sends extremely specific visual and audio data (about your baby’s sleep position, breathing, temperature, and more) directly to your smartphone or tablet.

Sounds like a new parent’s dream come true. However, according to a pediatric psychologist, you also need to “make sure . . . you’re attending to your child appropriately. Relying more on your parental instincts and less on technology may be the best bet.”

A new study “indicates that babies who take regular naps are more likely to remember skills they have learnt.” Additionally, right before going to sleep appears to be the ideal time for babies to learn and retain the new skills.
